I started buying the Linea line around 2008. The clothing had exceptional design and workmanship. The fabric back then was divine. I hadn't seen clothing like his since the Randolph Duke, Emanuel Ungaro, and Isabel & Nina lines at HSN. I started collecting his pieces over the years, and now have several closets full and got compliments whenever I wore his clothing. If I want to look good, I start with a Linea top. I've loved watching Louis present his clothing and still watch his videos on his blog. I would love if he could find another venue, of course. I cherish the memories of his shows and watching him on the Q.

I was a medical claims examiner for 30 years, happily retired now. I've shopped Linea probably 18 years. The tailoring, classic styling the fabric and the value... my closet filled with Linea and I ALWAYS looked good in them!
I just placed a big order for the pieces I wanted. So I think I'm done with much of the Q except for makeup.
Ladies we had some fun times posting LIVE during Linea Shows, remember?
hugs!

I also have an earned PhD and have worn Linea when I presented my research at international conferences in Paris, the UK, Australia and around the USA. I like the relaxed elegance of Louis' designs. His designs are classic. He is such a gentleman to answer our questions and share his sketches with us. QVC is letting go of a treasure.

@Linmo and a lot of baby boomers are retired or retiring and have much less need/use for Linea-type clothing and more for athleisure.
@Pearlee We're all different. It really depends on a person's lifestyle. My mom and I are on different ends of the baby boomer era. Before her dementia kicked in, she was a Susan Graver and Quacker fan.
I'm on the late end of the baby boomer scale. I'm retired, but do not dress in athletic wear. I'm more of a blue jeans and tee shirt or sweatshirt gal. But when I do go to one of my childrens' events or somewhere where jeans are not appropriate, Linea is perfect for me.
I think QVC is tightening their belt and any brands that they are not in direct partnership with will probably get the ax.

@Linmo Are you saying, as I understand, they are going all proprietary? That is what I think. Is Dooney folding to the music?

@Nonametoday I honestly don't know, but I think in-house brands definitely have priority.

To me the Linea line is the epitome of "Q", "V" and "C". I have closets full, yet can never seem to get enough. I adore how it works together from season to season, and have learned so much from Louis. My heart is deeply saddened by the decision to drop this beautiful line of clothing. I might better understand if this line was Dry Clean Only, but everything is machine washable! How different is this from a sweatshirt and jogger pants! And it's designed with comfort in mind as well. I just don't get it. If the demographic for this line is an older generation, wouldn't those same people have much more disposable income than the younger set? As for who I am, I have a BS in Engineering and held senior positions at a large tech firm, now recently retired. I have not slowed down in terms of my joy for putting beautiful outfits together, nor in my love for Linea. After the last of the pieces are gone, I will have no other reason to shop here. I have tried the in-house brands, and find that they just don't coordinate as well. Nor do I have the expertise of a renowned designer at my fingertips. The quality is not there either. I am so very disappointed that a different solution could not be negotiated.

I've been a Linea lady from day one. My life has been full, ever changing, and Linea was a part of the wardrobe thru my journey. I'm grateful for the opportunity to own the clothing, learn from a brilliant designer and feel a part of a group of women that enjoyed the same sense of style as me. All good things come to an end and I pray the new journey for Louis is peaceful and rewarding. I am a grateful Linea Lady.

The proprietary brands are not the same as LDO. He studies trends and fashion and puts those two together, he studies fabrics and coordinating fabrics and dyes. That could be done with the other brands but it appears, by the way they are put together, that QVC only wants fast fashion that sells and not a well-coordinated wardrobe.

LDO is the real designer of his items. The proprietary brands don't have known designers.
