Linea by Louis Dell'Olio

     What are some of your favorite Linea by Louis Dell'Olio pieces of clothing?

     There are so many Linea pieces that I truly love.  It's really tough to choose.

     This morning I started thinking about his suits and jackets.  The quality and tailoring have always been exquisite.  Here is a sneak peek picture by Louis from 2012.

     I got these suits in all three colorways:  Black, Ivory and Black, and Violet and Black. 

     The jacket and skirt are a textured weave fabric with black satin trim. 

     The actual violet color is darker than in the photo--a darker purple.  This suit has been the perfect thing for more serious/formal situations.

     If you have any of these suits, the recent black Satin Tunic Shirt (A374709) and Tank Top (A374664) work nicely with them: the shirt with the skirt and the tank top with the suit or the tunic and the skirt.

I simply can't answer this question. My mind just jumps from one beautiful piece to another. The coats, the jackets both plain and embroidered, the evening clothes, the suedes and leathers. No it's impossible to make a selection. I was one of those Linea Ladies always on the bad girl bench, and many times I was embarassed by the amount of clothing in multipul colors I bought. My dear husband never complained. He always admires how I looks and knows it's a Louis! Now I'm so happy I have them all.

This is so hard !  I know  that one of my favorites is a "real" suede coat that must be twenty odd years old and I'm still wearing it !  It's of course a clasic design and the suede is so soft and beautiful and I still get compliments when I wear it. I started out with two, a Black and Dk. Brown but I caught the pocket of the Black one on a table when I went to get up and ripped the coat, I was hartbrooken and I still miss it.  Then there is the jacket you showed it the picture, I have that in the all black.   I love everyone of his WK's I have and there are a ton, LOL.  Oh, also the boiled wool jacket in med gray with camel suede flowers and camel wipe stich trim.  Does anyone remembber that one?   I could go on and on there are just so many.  I still can't beleive they are no longer going to carry his line it just breaks my heart !   He was the best of the best that QVC had.

I have two of the Linea gorgeous embroidered long skirts (blue and gold), but have not yet had the opportunity to wear them.

They are certainly showstoppers, and full of elaborate detail.

Hopefully someday, when there are fancy events scheduled again, I can put them to good use!

I have the zigzag dress in your last pic, but in blue. I got the skirts in each color though. Love!!

It’s hard to tell on my phone screen but I like the dress above that one too. I’m grateful for what I have, but sorry I missed out on some fabulous pieces.

I honestly and truly love every item of clothing I have ever purchased and cherish it all:  ponte knit boot cut pants, WK, blouses, skirts, trenches, jackets, dresses, blazers.

My favorite Louis clothing item hasn’t changed for 8 years! It’s the faux linen herringbone suit (A-226257 & A-236258). I have it in both colors - olive and stone. I originally liked this suit because the inseam and sleeve length fit my 5’11 frame. Then I fell in love with the fabric and colors! I asked Louis several times to bring back the fabric, but he never did. I still have both suits in my clothing rotation. If I ever see any one or more of the four pieces on the bay in my size, I’ll snap them up!
