The only rayon I like in summer is a rayon/linen blend. I treasure it when I can get it. I can wear pebble crepe and his gauze because it doesn’t cling. But the beautiful poly tops Louis shows are far too hot where I live. They would have to wait until cool weather in October and they are not warm for that. I also like cotton/spandex because it does not cling like rayon/spandex. Of course I do love whisper knit rayon for winter. I do wear moss crepe in spring and fall, but it is too clingy to be cool in summer.

On the other hand, his design ability, tailoring and attention to detail still beats every other designer on QVC hands down. Logo & Halston? There is no Halston, it's just a business name, & Lori Goldstein isn't even in the same class, & will have to come up with a new style gimmick before long because what she's selling will eventually go the way of the bustle.

Nailed it!  Brava, WNYGal!

Designista: This is a great example of factual data and the disclaimer is a good idea. Kudos.

But I did not say he never uses rayon.  I said he uses too much polyester.  (Whisper Knit is not practical for warm weather.  It's a sweater knit.)

Very few summer items and hardly any new items are included in a "Linea rayon" search.

I'm not talking black and white.  Obviously there are other fabrics involved.

@GingerPeach  I am sure you have not been around long enough to recall that Louis, at one time, was the only designer who offered silks, wools, garbardines, linens all the time.  Although a few offered some, none as much as Louis, but when QVC decided to make Isaac their idol and get rid of Louis because he was the competition, apparently, they gave the good fabrics to IM and none to Louis.  That was the point in time when we lobbied to keep Louis on.  Little did we know, at the time, they would strip him of his fine design fabrics.  Alas, it's QVC.  Their customer is not the first consideration.

Louis's Whisper knit comes in multiple weights---there is a "summer" lighweight Whisper Knit that he uses for his tanks and tops. These are NOT "sweater" knits. He uses heavier Every Needle Rib Whisper Knit on most of his "Fall/Winter" WK items. If one is going to make pronouncements about a brand, one has to do their research.

I agree about the lower neckline and a short skirt or skort above the knee!   Some of do have good legs and his wife Jac always liked her skirts above the knee.  We can only hope.
