Why does QVC allow people who haven't bought something post
reviews. There are three of them under Lori's new TSV......two
bashing, of couirse, and one weird and unreadable. I don't think
this is fair to Lori or to customers who might want to buy this
top. Boo.

I totally agree! It's a tech issue that their software developers can create a fix for....(allow verified purchasers) If they will just do it.

I report every last one of them. Not sure if it does any good, but it certainly makes me feel better.

I also wonder about that ......when they write a review complaining the item didn’t carry their size...or colors they would prefer...etc....if they have. NOT. Purchased the item...they should not be permitted to review......miscellaneous comments should be available to be made on a different site...

It's just stupid. Fine if QVC wants to allow it, but how about just NOT letting it count unless it was purchased??????

@bibes I looked at reviews on something just last night, it wasn't the logo tsv but something else.
Three reviews and not one of the reviewers even bought the item.
All this proves to me is the fact that whoever at the Q MAY read reviews prior to posting them for posting regulations does not really read them. Posting reviews from people who didn't even make the purchase is as ridiculous as those who did purchase but tell us nothing worth reading ie, for clothing they never say how the item fits (is it really tru to size? did the item fit you properly as descirbed along with sizing info).
Waste of time in my opinion.

@PINKdogWOOD I don't think it proves that at all. When a person submits a review, the person is asked whether she purchased the item and is supposed to check yes or no. Thus, under Q policies, it is accpetable not to have purchased the item and still have a review posted. The information is on the review for all to see, whether the person purchased it or not. Thus, since QVC allows reviews by people who have not purchased the item, that does not mean the review "slipped in" because someone at QVC didn't read it. I don't think that is a reasonble conclusion given Q's policy of allowing reviews from people who didn't buy the item.

People also lie when they put a check mark in the box when asked did you purchase the item. Anybody can check yes but I also does not mean they bought the item and can review it.
Why and how can anyone write a reivew when they know nothing about it except what they may see or hear about the item?
Why even ask this question on every single item for reviewers to check yes or no. They (the Q) can put whatever statements they want to on the review page and can state policy on what this means. It means nothing really. Still makes no difference if a reviewer checks yes or no and still takes time (or wasts time) to review if they didn't even buy it. They offer nothing to a potential buyer.
Reviews on items by consumers who did make the purchase - which I will add, we take them at their word and hopefully honestly that they really did buy the item means something to some consumers.
Consumers who write reviews when they did not buy something to own something - or return it - mean nothing. Again like I said, waste of time.

@PINKdogWOOD Well you missed my point, despite my red highlighting. My point was not whether the reviews have worth or not but rather that if the reviewer followed QVC's policies, which allow reviews from people who haven't bought the product, I don't think one can conclude that nobody reads the reviews.
In fact, people here complain when their reviews aren't posted, probably because they didn't follow Q's policies. Hence the reviews are being read.
