Shop N Save grocery store here in Pittsburgh offers a spice bar cookie every fall. I just love them and look forward to when they bring them out. Today we went shopping and there they were. So good!

They also had pumpkin spice cookies . What is everyones favorite food that is only available in the fall ?

Apple cider and cider doughnuts.

We were at the local cider mill a few days ago but they are still just a local farmers market - haven't started the cider press yet. I'm thinking any day now. Once the apples are in season they will also start selling apple baked goods from the local Amish farmers wives.

I love pumpkin - ice cream, bread, pie, pumpkin-chocolate chip cookies.

I also love eggnog. And pecan pie at Christmas.

I even like fruitcake, and mincemeat pie.

And some things you don't see much anymore - divinity and date loaf (candy).

Pumpkin everything and the stores selling cinnamon brooms. (That may be a southern or south west thing - I never once saw them in California.) I love walking into a store and having it smell like cinnamon.

I was just by there yesterday on the way to the Cabin for lunch. I love apple cider, I'll have to go back when they start.

We have a group of 8 going to dinner Sunday and we tried to get a reservation at the Log cabin but they don't take reservations on Sundays. So we tried the Harmony inn and that was unsuccessful as well. Now I am thinking of trying the Springfield Inn. All the restaurants around here we can't find one place we all want to go.
