Re: silicone popcorn poppers

[ Edited ]

We've been using a silicone popcorn popper for several years now, and love it!

I add about 1/2 teaspoon of water only before adding the popcorn.  This makes the popcorn come out really moist but still crisp.

Re: silicone popcorn poppers

I saw these and loved them!! I have the big one and what a huge difference it makes. Easy and fool proof--never do I have but a few unpopped kernels! It folds flat so easy to store. I use 1/2 tsp oil is all and a generous 1/3 cup or corn. I use the popcorn button on my micro 2x minus 43 seconds at the end--very scientific, right? Perfect everytime!!

Re: silicone popcorn poppers

Thanks for posting this topic - I had never seen this popper and it's just what I need! I have a Whirley Pop and I love it, but it's not really for just one person. I don't like the microwave bags because they're always too dry IMO. So, this new (to me) option looks just right for me. I'll be adding a little melted butter to my popped corn though! Hubby rarely eats it anymore, so it's all mine! LOL!
