after reading so much year after year about juniors - decided this year to order the Xmas special cheesecake - OH MY - what a disaster!   Took to my daughters for serving as dessert - it was a complete mess,  could not be sliced properly because it was so soft, it was collapsing.   And it was refrigerated until we served.  It was such an embarrasment - I will never order a juniors anything again.  I could have had  a cheesecake three times  the size of the juniors for less money from Costco.

Re: holiday foods disappointing

Costco does have a better cheese cake than juniors make, too bad it didn't work out for you. You do know you can call customer service and complain and they will refund your money.

I don't even like cheesecake but figured I should 'experience' this wonder.  Then wondered why I bought it.  Agree:  it was a messy expensive adventure.  Smashed side - top was deflating - and it was very (ugh) sweet.

I agree, go to Costco's or Sam's they have delicious cheese cakes, cakes, and other goodies.

End of ordering Harry and David's fruitcakes. Dry and stale must've been left over from last yr. almost 30 bucks and I had to microwave it.

Dropping that.

Re: holiday foods disappointing

ordered Harry and David pears from Qvc.  Last year got them from Harry and David directly.  They  were wonderful.  I know the ones I bought from the Q were shipped from H&D but they seemed like 2nd grade pears.  They were not smooth and blemish free like the ones I had last year.  The ones from last year cost more (same number of pears both years) so I was delighted to get a better price this year.  I called CS and they refunded my money.

@Karie2022.  Even better, make your own.  Cheesecake is simple to make.  I have a recipe where I throw all the ingredients in my food processer, whirl it a couple minutes and bake.  Add your choice of topping and serve.  I like strawberries.

Re: holiday foods disappointing

This year, for a change, I got the Junior's small cheesecakes in the 4 flavour 32 pack. Way too much to eat. And they have been in the freezer sionce I got them, pulling out what was needed to defrost. The tops are hard and inedible. So I flip them and eat from the bottom, tossing the hard top. Once in a lifetime thing, won't buy again.

Re: holiday foods disappointing

We were gifted Kansas City steaks bacon wrapped filet mignon.

1) 10- 3 oz.  -- very small

2). no taste even putting seasoning that came with it.  Followed cooking directions -- terrible!

and today I had open house -- I re"gifted" to a friend who said they love filet mignon.  Hope they enjoy them (8 left)!

Hoping I don't get them again...not ungrateful just not something we eat ...or cook - we go to a nice steakhouse when we want steak.

I don't know if they came from Q or directly from KC.
