No way would I order something like this from the Q.

I've had bad luck ordering large appliances from the Q. Even if you don't have to pay to ship a faulty item back, it's a pain to get a pick up.

I didn't know QVC sold refrigerators. I doubt I would buy one from them as it wouldn't be feasible unless they were the last retailer to sell a refrigerator.

Never would I even consider doing that. What happens if something goes wrong? Can you imagine what it would cost to send a refridgerator back? Get one locally, really.

Good one Persephonel! I think a lot of us would like to have a TARDIS house ![]()

No. We try to patronize our local stores. By that I mean the local mom and pop stores and the family run businesses.

For what it's worth, I know that Lowes will match other prices from stores. When we bought our new fridge last year, I found my Samsung stainless 4-door French door fridge at HH Gregg for about half of what Lowes was charging for the same thing. The HH Gregg store was about 60 miles away, so I printed the ad from their website with the price listed for the fridge.
We took the ad to our Lowes store and they matched the price. The sales person needed to go to his department manager, but they matched the price. We put it on our Lowes charge, simply to get an extra 5% off (we paid the whole bill off when it came). Plus, they delivered the fridge to our house, brought it into the house and the guy helped DH set it up. For free.
You can't beat that. I'm sure Home Depot does the same thing as far as price matching. The reason we didn't go to HD is because that store is further away from us whereas Lowes is quite close. But you can check with Home Depot if that store is closer to you.
It pays to shop around. And it never hurts to ask if they'll match a price.

No, I haven't, nor would I be tempted to. I buy locally through my Lowe's store; not only to support local business, but I can only imagine the hassle if that QVC refrigerator does not work when you plug it in, and you try to get it repaired or replaced. I have been a loyal Lowe's customer for nearly 40 years; I know what to expect from them with major purchases. I wouldn't begin to take a chance with QVC and something as major as a refrigerator.

They did a study a few years back and found that these are the best places to purchase from. At least where I live. So yes, I agree about shopping at an independent store.
