I think we all struggle with this question.  Yes, you can keep celery crisp longer by wrapping it in foil and if you wash strawberries they stay red with no spots.

 

Here is what I would like to know.  When you preserve the object (fruit or veggie) you have by a week do you also preserve the nutrients?

 

I thought they started losing nutrients when they were picked.  Are you really getting what you need from them 2 weeks later?

 

Is it really worth "keeping them fresh longer."

I got these yesterday from AZN dot Com as one of their lightning deals.  I'm hoping they work for bagged lettuce since I buy the 1 lb. Pkg at BJ's.  For my reference I dated the container to see just how long it'll stay fresh.   

P.S.  that was a great price for the 3 containers.

Then just buy frozen.
