Hellmans

Hellman's or Dukes. I have been known to take a spoon & literally scoop out spoonfuls of mayo of the brands I just mentioned & devour with glee! Ok..I know I have a problem, no need to bash, lol!

I try to avoid vegetable and soybean oils, so I buy mayo made with avocado oil. I buy it online from Thrive market and have also found the Chosen Foods brand at Costco. Primal Kitchen is the other brand I buy...they make a standard one and a chipotle lime that is SO good. It is pricey but I don't use it a lot. I figure my health is worth the extra cost and it tastes amazing to me.
I know the mainstream brands now make "olive oil" mayo's but if you check the ingredients the olive oil is only an additive...they are still mostly canola or soybean oil. Somewhat deceiving.

Taught by my mom:
Kraft for our potato salad & macaroni salad recipes, and sometimes on sandwiches (probably used most often for things)
Hellmans for a grape/chicken salad recipe made more often in the summer
Miracle Whip for a broccoli/bacon/raisin salad recipe
I've on occasion made the above recipes with the wrong mayo, and immediately knew something was 'off'..weird, right?
All 3 always stocked in the fridge. It doesn't go 'bad' very fast, so rarely have to throw a jar out.

Hellmann's and only Hellmann's. We don't have Duke's here yet, but I have been seeing TV ads for that brand recently, will have to look for it.

Totallly agree that it's Blue Plate. The family won't use anything else.

If I want store -bought mayonnaise, it has to be Hellman's. Sometimes, only homemade will do! Favorite summer luncheon: cold poached salmon rimmed with thin cucumber slices and served with homemade green mayonnaise (made with watercress). When I can get watercress, I also love little 'cress sandwiches with a bit of mayo. Takes me back to childhood!

Duke's is our favorite.
If we can't find that, Hellmann's is also good.
I keep a small jar of Miracle Whip around, too. I like it on sandwiches (a relic of my childhood).
