Huge customer when it was CVN and even more so when it became QVC. Has changed so much I rarely buy. Now and then tune in to ITKWD but the minute he spends all the time on a product not associated with kitchen, I turn it off for the whole program.

QVC has become so overpriced and aim their profit on high priced items... many of them. Susan Graver now is so overpriced it's shocking. Used to buy when her fashions were better and the stitching on garments are pulled so tight they pucker when it shouldn't.

Have found Hsn concentrates on far more likable and reasonably priced items and they are far above in the stock market so naturally #1 sales. there is no better cookware than Curtis Stone and everything demo'd about it is absolutely true. Wolfgang Puck has a professional blender that does everything Vitamix does and is with higher power and made some better and is something like $149 compared to Vitamix $300+ category.

I save a bundle by my switch over to HSN.

Well, I really do hope that your WP blender doesn't burn your kitchen down (yeah, I DID read the reviews before they took them down!), but to compare it to a Vitamix is a major exaggeration.   More HP doesn't equal better performance, BTW.

Anyway, the over all moral of the story is that everybody can buy what and where they want, so there are always choices.  Choice is always good!  Smiley Happy

HSN shoulod forbid their buyers to post here.

Every time they rave, I start to think about the awful products I received from them and my negative reaction almost every time I surf past.  Even if I left QVC, I can't imagine spending anything there.  Don't like the products, the camera work or the vast majority of the hosts and vendors I've seen there.

Each to her own.  I'm still doing well with what I buy here -  that includes my last two SG purchases.  That's why I'm expecting a third buy to be delivered tomorrow.  Never had OP's experience with Susan's clothes.  And, no, I don't think they are overpriced.

I find many of HSN's products, especially clothing, to be very cheaply made.  After returning everything I bought, I quit buying.

@millieshops, I agree with you on HSN's camera work. It's really bad. Many times I've been watching, waiting for a true close up look, usually a jewelry item, and it never comes. Boggles my mind. But the absolute worst is their website! When I'm on it looking at an item, this big sign will pop up on the page asking to add the item to your cart. Then it partially blocks anything you're trying to look at. And I can't seem to find a place to X it out. Drives me NUTS and I quickly leave their site and don't look back. Please, for the love of Pete, QVC, don't ever do anything that stupid here on your website. I'm begging you. Ha!

Re: In the Kitchen and QVC

[ Edited ]

@4leaf

I agree with you.....ITKWD has grown stale.....I used to love their unique kitchen gadgets and kitchen products and still use them today!  But now its the same limited products and David and/or his show producer seems obsessed about going through the colors..it seems that's the major point of anything they show.....And now that they break up the show with non-kitchen TSV's just another reason for me to NOT watch!!!

And even on their non-kitchen products the prices have gone up and quality has gone down.........But I can understand why their revenues keep going down. My Q watching has decreased as well................

But I can't agree with you about HSN..............their products seem even cheaper in quality than what QVC shows....they also show too many beauty and electronic products...their financial results were worse than QVC's and their CEO moved on to be an Exec at Weight Watchers which says it all.........

I buy from both HSN and QVC.  Don't have a problem with either one.  I don't buy clothing from either one.  Too expensive.
