Agree totally, chickenbutt. Anyone who thinks the WP blender is as good as a Vitamix, is fooling him/herself. There's a reason the Vitamix is so much more expensive. It will last! One regularly hears stories about someone's 40-year-old Vitamix. I doubt seriously that we will be reading about their 40-year-old WP blender.
Even in the demo it was obvious that the WP blender didn't process the smoothie as well as a VM does. You could see seeds. Does that mean one shouldn't purchase the WP blender? No, just don't expect it to perform as well or last as long.
