I haven't seen a lot of David's shows of late. Does he still do the "happy dance"?  Was worried he wouldn't anymore after complaints on this board.

@KKJ:  Not to worry. He still does the Happy Dance! Smiley Very Happy

It's not just "turkey tiime".  It's time for David to grow up. He's well into his middle ages now and the silliness, hip bumping, dumb dancing, five year old faces and the "Here we go" stuffing of the mouth need to go.  I can only watch a few minutes of his antics and have to tune him out.  And the "You Call Everybody Darling" is getting a bit old too. How can anyone mature enough to have a QVC account tolerate this stupid behavior.  I have as good a sense of humor as anyone, but frankly, being from the South myself, it offends me terribly.  Grow up Mr. Venable.

@Perkup.  This ‘act’ sells. That’s why he does it. When it stops selling, he will stop doing it. QVC is in the selling business after all.

I understand what you're saying, but who, as a mature adult, falls for this silliness?  Are these uneducated people? Elderly people? (I'm over 80) Would the sales not be as high (or higher) if a 50 plus man behaved in a more mature way?  I know that I could watch more and probably buy more, if I was approached iin a more dignified way.  I know I would never buy a car, a house, a pork roast, a little black dress or a ham sandwich from anyone who behaved in this childish way. It's not "cute" anymore. So who are the people who are impressed with this?  I'd really like to know. I'm not being sarcastic. I'm serious.

@Perkup.  Listen to the phone calls. I'm sure you realize that not everyone has the same way of thinking. That's why each person will buy different things from QVC. What one buyer thinks looks like a good pork roast and good deal, another buyer thinks what a ripoff! Different strokes for different folks.

Well, you have a good point.  The phone calls are quite q give away! Some are great. But I often feel embarrassed for the callers.

David starts making that turkey gobbling sound...ARGHHH!!! Smiley Tongue

@Diva on The Q Love David's gobble! I've been hooked on ITKWD for lo these many years. One day I may wonder "what was I thinking?" but for now I'm enjoying his antics. My real concern when I hear that gobble is that Thanksgiving is only 3+ weeks away, and I have to get in shape for my personal cooking marathon!
