This item looks good but I really need someone to convince me that I need one piece of Lock and Lock that costs this much. I will (and have)  spent that much on sets.

I ordered on the kitchen day, free shipping, and one color went to backorder.....which annoys the heck out of me when I order well before a 'sell out' is posted, oftentimes many hours before, sometimes even days before in the case of some TSV's I never received after preordering. 

It seems my backorder one is now processing. Hope it comes, it is blue, and was adding it to my son's collection I've been building him. He has a new house and a new baby this past year, and they are getting their kitchen and pantry stocked up and organized, and I'm trying to buy them some of the bigger pieces and pantry sets each time there is free shipping. They are loving them, and I'm loving doing it. 

As to the size/quality/usefulness of these XL pieces, I have to say that I'm kind of in love with these. They are huge, and I can see where some people might not have any use for something so very big, but since we stock groceries and supplies for a one year minimum, I love these for bulk items. And the use for non food items is endless too. 

I've purchased three of these for myself already, one for my son, and I hope they keep bringing these in, as I want to order one or two each time they have free shipping. I would much love even larger ones for storing non food items like clothing, home decor etc. More secure than the standard plastic tubs we buy for storage.
