Wrapmasters

I want to share a set of three Wrapmasters with two other people cuz I only want one for plastic wrap. However, the instructions say that you should use the plastic one for plastic, foil one for foil, etc. because of the blades. Has anyone else "broken that rule"? Three of us just want to use one for plastic. Thanks in advance.
