Re: Wow, We Are Getting An Aldi's.

I am one who loves Aldi.  I love to browse around and pick up new items to try.  They had a wonderful frozen marscapone cheesecake that was fantastic.  Went back to get another and they were gone.

If you have a list of specific items that you need to buy, you're better off going to a regular grocery store that carries everything, as you cannot always get every item on your list at Aldi.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your shopping experience at Aldi.  Give it a few tries before deciding.  I didn't care for it at first, but kept going back due to their super-low milk prices, and now I'm hooked.

Re: Wow, We Are Getting An Aldi's.

I started placing online orders with Aldi's almost a year ago, delivered by Instacart. Before that I had visited my local Aldi's once but had been to other Aldi stores in France. They are all pretty much the same. However, their prices are very good and they have some interesting products.

They are a little nicer. Fresh bakery items. I go to both. For LIDL get the app and you get coupons based on how much you spend.

I am one who likes Aldi's, but its not my only store since it doesn't carry of lot of things.  If you check out the produce carefully, you can get some great prices.  For example I got a pineapple for .99 today along with several of the packages of berries (blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries all very fresh) and all at a reasonable price.

So far, I've had good luck with their store brand, and spend about 1/2 of what I would at other local grocery stores.

You need to bring your own bags, and bag your own groceries yourself, but I prefer that anyway.

We try and do as much of our shopping there as we can.

Like you though, we can't buy everything there because they don't carry everything there.

I do happen to like their store brand items very much, though.

I generally buy store brands whenever I possibly can, anyway.

The only thing that bothers me is that they tend to sell out of their weekly special items very quickly, and when that happens you won't see them again. So, if you miss out on them, that's it.

So, we supplement our Aldi's shopping by going to other local supermarkets, and also by going to the dollar stores and to the Walmart that's also in our area, too,
