@TenderMercies--------------one of the many benefits of being adults who

financially provide for ourselves is not having to justify what we buy or how much money we spend. No one is owed an explanation and if someone thinks that, for them, it is more convenient and/or cheaper, that is okay.

My reason for purchasing is neither.....It looks good and I simply want it !

No one is asking for an explanation.  I think it's pretty clear that the explanation is that there is a difference between being simply an adult and being a real grown up.  Age doesn't make you smart.

@Zefra

You have made your point.  Why do you insist on spamming this thread with your thoughts on Carrageenan.  We can all read and have read your several posts.  I try to eat as healthy as possible as much as possible but I also intend to live my life and enjoy a few pleasures in life.  Yes, you and I have every right to eat what we want and we don't need to lecture or spam an entire thread with the problems of Carageenan

@RollTide2008

Brava.  Good idea.  Enjoy  I am ordering it too.  I am having another couple along with me and my honey for dinner.  This will be perfect and then some for the 4 of us since we all like the Turkey Breast and don't care for all the other stuff.

@TenderMercies----YOU are asking for explanations and YOU introduced the word "justify."

Who ever said that "age makes you smart?" I thought we were talking about

buying a prepared meal !

So in your world, a "real grown up" would not buy MS's meal ? Well, using your logic and based on the massive amounts of money I spend and the nonsense I spend it on, save me a place at the kiddie table...

I love Martha, but this is a pass for me.  $11/pound for turkey breast and $27 for 2 pounds of mashed potatoes is not sensible to me.  While I’ve only made whole turkeys and can’t comment on the price of turkey breast, I’m perfectly capable of seasoning and buttering my own and paying a fraction of that cost.  Bob Evans charges about $6 for its family size mashed potatoes which is 2 lbs.  Throw in some cream cheese yourself.  Ordering food from QVC is always hit and miss.  I wouldn’t want to get a miss when I’m serving guests.

sliced turkey breast for sandwiches from the deli counter cost generally around $10.99 a pound now.

i find that these types of deals are wonderful for those who dont get out much to do grocery shopping or want a more simple way to prepare a meal. all you would have to do is maybe add another simple side or two (salad and cranberry sauce and some rolls). the other benefit is is that it is 100% money back guarantee. not everyone wants to spend the entire day in the kitchen.

It's not sliced turkey breast.  It's a whole, boneless turkey breast that comes frozen and costs $11/pound as opposed to a whole, boneless turkey breast that you can buy in the grocery store packaged the same way and costs $1.50/pound.

oh, but sliced turkey breast from the deli counter has been prepared, cooked, and sliced. so you are paying for the convenience and the ease of preparation. when i want a sandwich i dont go and buy a whole boneless turkey breast to cook. i go to the deli where it is already ready to go.

similar situation here......pop in the oven, bake the sides, add a few extras, and you have a great meal. very little time with preparation or extra work. no reason why people cannot enjoy a meal like this. we have food stores in the area that specialize in these types of meals and they can be a lot more than that. cannot blame
ANYONE who wants to try this.......for many reasons.

for those purchasing.....ENJOY! let us know how the means turned out.
