Try googling "Carrageenan known inflamatory" and read the top 10 results. See what America's top doctors say about this ingredient. You won't want to eat it again and will wonder why manufacturers are putting it in our food. Make an informed purchase.

The turkey's fine it's her side dishes that contain the harmful ingredient carrageenan.

i get that you have an issue with carrageenan and that’s your privilege.  I have googled it and it does not not come up with all the scary stuff you mention. There is always someone who is going to find something in every ingredient that may cause a problem for someone.    It’s one day when people eat and drink and enjoy the day.  I think this is a great deal for people who want to serve a lovely tasty meal.  I have cooked many Thanksgiving meals and it cost me way more than $100 by the time I bought everything and then all the preparation.

lousgirl84, You obviously did not google "Carrageenan known inflamatory" or the comments from Dr. Weil would pop up, and all the awful uses for this chemical would appear in the first 10 results. This chemical is in many of our foods now. If you read these search results and still want to eat foods containing this ingredient it's an informed choice.

@Lila4Now

I have not done by you can get a free turkey if you spend over a certain amount.  I personally don’t like most of the turkey.   I only eat the beast so it’s a total waste of money and 7nless I were having a lot of people for dinnner which I am not then this is not a good deal.   Most of those turkeys younge for free are not free range turkeys and mass produced in the worst of conditions.   This is not a deal for everyone  that I will agree. It is in my estimation

Of course the cost will be less if you shop for and prepare a similar meal to the TSV. Time is money, and this meal is prepared for you and shipped to your door. It's a fair deal for the many people who want to host a holiday meal and have neither the time, skill and even an adequate kitchen to prepare a meal like the TSV.

There is certainly a market for the TSV. Not for me, but for many people.

It's a good thing...

i did read Dr. Weil’s article.  His was one when they’re were many who disputes his claim.  I don’t live my life like that.   I try to eat healthy but I can’t control everything I eat.  It is impossible unless you grow your own vegetables and raise your own poultry and beef.    We all make choices in life.     I respect your decision about carrageenan. I am not going to worry about it for one meal
