one of these days i am going to order english muffins from THE MODEL BAKERY in northern california. i was practically drooling when i watched them making them. i had seen a show about this bakery AND it receives high praises from chef michael chiarello. has anyone ever tried them?

My sister sent them to us as a gift once. We didn't care for them, but then we are not huge English muffin eaters. The problem I have with them is they are too big and heavy. I realize some people probably like that about them, but to me, they felt like a brick in my stomach.

My step-sister sends these to family members every year. I think they are ho hum and I don't like how thick they are.

You don't have to get the thick ones. They have their signature, which are the thick ones, a the traditional, which are regular size.

I remember mine came in a 3 flavor pack. They were the thick ones. The sourdough didn't have much flavor, but the cinnamon ones were good. Cant remember the other one, think it was plain.
