Re: Why hasn't QVC done an Insta Pot, or did I just miss it?

@depglass  You sure missed it.  They had one on Sunday, March 25.  They were sold out in minutes.  And even with S&H and tax, the price was lower than on Amazon.

Re: Why hasn't QVC done an Insta Pot, or did I just miss it?

I have one on advanced order, due to ship in mid-April.  I need another kitchen appliance like a hole in the head, LOL, but I love my kitchen toys so I just had to order one.  I can't wait to try it.  I have the cookbook on advanced order as well.

Re: Why hasn't QVC done an Insta Pot, or did I just miss it?

@CareBears, the process for clearing a check is totally different than getting a payment from a credit or debit card. I've never paid attention that QVC accepted check payments and I'm surprised that they do it. I think any online company is going to process credit/debit card full payments first. JMO that easy pay comes in behind a full payment, and anything paid by check would be last. What company doesn't want to collect the full amount for their product in the shortest amount of time?

@Lisa now in AZ I have heard Carolyn say, just put it on a check but make sure you send it in 7 days that will hold an item for you.  Funny the morning I ordered it it was In Processing it was not until the next day that it went to Advance order, along with 3 other items I ordered that same day, in processing until the next they were on Waitlist or Advance order, pretty coincidental IMO!   BTW, I canceled 3 of the items that went it Advance Order or Waitlist.  And just yesterday QVC wrote me a letter, and apologized for overselling one of the items!

I have one and what I've cooked in it did not impress me.  I'm probably going to end up donating it because its just taking up counter space.

@CareBears, yes, many people have often speculated as to why there is still  check purchase option. I used to use it a few times, but most often just called and put it on a card. There have also been several people who have posted about putting things on check hold just to make up their minds, I hope that if you do still want the pot that you will get your check in or put it on a card so you can have it. I also think they are doing more of the advance order thing so they see how many are sold and are not stuck with a bunch of inventory they can't seel. Good luck!

Re: Why hasn't QVC done an Insta Pot, or did I just miss it?

I guess I’m the only person in the world who hasn’t heard of an instapot! Is it like an air fryer or pressure cooker? I’ve also seen some kind of dumb (IMHO) thing to put raw eggs into & then boil them; all to prevent peeling???
We’ve been married nearly 38 years & I’m giving away things I don’t use anymore! DH won’t cook and, since the kids left we hardly ever cook. He has an entire different way of eating than I do. So we mostly fend for ourselves. I might make something on the w/e’s that we both like or if the kids are coming over.
Last thing I need is another contraption to find a place for in our already crowded little house!

Re: Why hasn't QVC done an Insta Pot, or did I just miss it?

@Lisa now in AZ I changed the payment 3 days later to put on my Visa, that is when into Advance order, when I had put it on a check it was in processing?  i USED TO pay by check all the time, never had a problem, seems they themselves do not want people paying by check anymore, they should really look into getting rid of if they cannot commit product for people who elect to choose that payment method!

@Topaz Gem  I have ordered one also, but the way I understood it, the cookbook is included with this one.
