So sorry fudge gags you; I'm fine with it.  It's tart and sour I can't tolerate.  It feels like an ice pick under my ear.

@ECBG Must be opposites! Woman Very Happy I love lemon and I often add lemon to things and love salads of all kinds with vinegar only.  And then there's HOT which is also my thing.

And can't stand fudge.  My mom's family is wild about it and it's too much for me.

I do love lemon meringue pie and key lime pie; they don't hit me under my ear.

I can't tolerate hot and burn easily.  DH and our sons loved unusual hot sauces and ghost peppers.

@ECBG LOL!!!  It takes all kinds!  I do think we have pretty opposite tastes because I'm not a fan of anything with a lot of mayo in it--like the salads you love!

I didn't grow up with hot sauced foods, but have come to love them since living in regions where Mexican, Tex Mex, South American and New Mexican cooking is a big part of the food mix here.

If you live in that region and were introduced early, that's a massive difference!

@ECBG It was much late in life for me (30's?) but it is very much a part of our culture now.  And since it is part of how we cook, it isn't the greasy food you normally think of, and we aren't big on cheese either so we don't add much, or if we eat out it gets raked off.  But I miss the spice and heat if we go more than 10 days or so without!

It makes you feel less guilty about eating 10 little pieces as opposed to eating the whole cookie.  Justification, ya know Smiley Happy.

Well, broken cookies may have no calories, but cake is another story!
