I just snagged a piece of a broken cookie from an almost empty package and it was so very good!  As I stood there thinking how good it was, it dawned on me that for some reason a bite of broken cookie is such a treat! It sometimes seems sweeter than the whole cookies.

Is it because it's a little bonus? A little "sin?" A stolen moment or a brief crunch?

Sometimes a broken moment in life can turn out to be sweeter than the ones planned for and anticipated. Sometimes we can't see what good might lie ahead from a seemingly broken moment or experience.  

Take your cookies when they are passed; even if they are broken!

I loved your additional message.

I do like the scrapings from the homemade fudge pot more than a piece of fudge later.  Warm is often more flaverful than room temperature.  I hate to be served a cold meal out too!

@ECBG I can understand that.  A whole bite of fudge is so sweet and sticky it just gags you.  So yes, scrapings would not do that!    Good idea!
