My husband takes them for lunch the next day. His co-workers always comment that he gets good lunch.

I do not eat leftovers...

I never eat leftovers. When I was a teen and lived with my sister (and her 4 children) we sometimes didn't have anything to eat. Now some would say, "That would make you appreciate food even more". Well, I prefer to look at it the other way.
I can afford now to eat anything I want when I want, my late husband and I worked our buns off to be able to do that (among other things). So,
I don't like the taste of food after it's been cooked. I can't taste or smell much anyway (health problem). So, I go by looks.
My late husband would eat anything I gave him (or in the frigerator). I always thought he'd die that (he didn't).
I never made my children finish their plates. I'd say, "Eat til you're full then push it away". None of them are overweight or underweight. Lesson stuck.

My brother in law refused to eat leftovers anymore. He grew up in a very poor family and ate them all the time. He worked his butt off and now owns a very successful business and it worth a lot and he absolutely refuses to eat left overs now. He won't even eatThanksgiving left overs. I think it is a little hard core but he did experience a very very tough upbringing so I can't really blame him as I haven't walked in his shoes.

It depends on what it is. Some foods I like better the next day or so. Chili, Spaghetti, Meatloaf (sandwich), Beef Stew, Potato Salad, Deviled Eggs, just to name a few. Some foods develop better flavor after being refrigerated for a day or two. I usually cook extra food because my DH comes home for lunch every day and he likes to have something other than a plain old sandwich most days.
However there are some things that I don't want to eat at a later time...fish is something I won't eat the next day. Yuck!
Edited because I keep thinking of more foods that I prefer left over.

My favorite is left over pizza. I LOVE cold pizza the next day!

We eat leftovers here, too.
I also think that certain foods taste better the next day, after they have had time to sit and let all of the spices blend together. I think things like sauces, stews, soups, and casseroles taste better like this.
I also prefer to cook in larger batches of food at one time, due to having health issues. That way, if I am not feeling well, we can just eat off of the leftovers, and I don't have to worry about making a meal "from scratch" every day.
