Where do you keep your bread?

Without a good old fashioned breadbox, for which I don't have room, we are constantly losing the bread.  It ends up on the island behind the canisters,  near the toaster getting lost behind the two coffee pots, or buried in the refrigerator.  Any ideas?

I use a Breville oven instead of my big oven, which I then use to store baked goods.

Re: Where do you keep your bread?

This is probably pretty boring, but I keep mine in a Lock & Lock in a lower cabinet on the cooler side of my kitchen.

It stays fresh, easily for 2 weeks which is about how long it takes me to get through it.   I'm really picky about fresh, too, as we had to eat moldy bread as kids.

Before I had L&L I could only keep a loaf of bread for 2-3 days before I felt like it was no longer good.

The bread I use for the birdies (same bread I use - Dave's Killer Bread Good Seed - they really like it, as do I) I keep in another L&L in the freezer because I learned that it's really difficult to cut a slice of bread into a brunois when it's fresh and soft.  Took me a while to figure out how to remedy that.  Smiley Happy

Either in the fridge or freezer.   (Spare loaves are in the freezer.)

Do you have room for a Locknlock bread keeper?  I have 2 and keep them in the pantry.  Keeps bread fresh for a very long time.

Ok, I know it is different, but it works

I keep mine in a large oval Dutch oven.  Stays cool to the touch!  Bread had never molded!

I rarely eat bread,  but eat Martin's potato rolls instead, which I keep in the freezer.

After opening, stored in fridge.  When bread is on sale, I stock up and put it in the freezer.

It sits on the lid of my large electric skillet in the kitchen pantry.

In my island in the kitchen I actually have a bread drawer!
