Re: Where Do You Buy Refrigerators?

@Sooner  We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Home Depot last year. They are close to us and we could see them in person. Our experience was excellent. I love the refrigerator. We get the water and ice dispenser in the door. I love the stainless with the no-fingerprint finish.

Re: Where Do You Buy Refrigerators?

We purchased our last 2 refrigerator from Lowe's. Our current refrigerator is a Whirlpool that needed the compressor replaced shortly after we bought it in 2021. Lowe's does not handle the repair, so we had to wait one week for compressor to arrive and another week for repair man to replace because he is in this area one day a week.

Many years ago we bought a small, cheap refrigerator from a local place and that wasn't good either.

Our local options are limited. We don't have Home Depot or a large appliance store.

@Sooner

When I'm in the market for large appliances I watch the sales and price compare also consider delivery service and charges.

Costco Sam's Club Home Depot Lowe's usually.

My last one a Samsung French Door in Door was purchased about 7 years ago from Home Depot and price delivery and product great.

, Years ago I use to buy all my appliances from Sears until they went out of business. Now I go to Lowe's. I have tried our local appliance stores and their prices were higher than Lowe's. I've never had a problem with delivery.

We have a prefessional brand appliance store nearby. I've had just about every single brand out there! I just renovated my kitchen 2 years ago and did high end appliances this time. I chose Blue Star refrigerator and a 48" stove. LOVE them. Far superor than lesser brands. Worth every penny!

Professional brand appliance store...are you saying commercial appliances like what gets installed in hotels and restaurants?

Re: Where Do You Buy Refrigerators?

Whaf I have done:

A good time for large appliance shopping is around federal holidays for sales weekends if you can wait. You can save hundreds of dollars sometimes.

In the meantime, research on what you would want to buy google for features you do and dont want, read reviews  and definately take measurements of the space where it goes in your home including depth, along with width and height..

The research saves time when you are ready to purchase during a sale.

Re: Where Do You Buy Refrigerators?

I've had the same fridge for 14 years, it's what the builder installed when we built our house. Only one repair needed. But it's Jenn Air, and a lot of stores don't carry this brand.

We have Spencer's Appliances in Arizona, which has a large selection of refrigerators.

I wish there was an ABT Electronics in our state. They have a huge selection and great service.

Thanks to all who took time to post!  I am sure this is helpful for a lot of us who have this experience in our near future!  I dread the day. . . Woman Frustrated

We have bought our last few from Metro Appliances and so far have had good luck with them.  We may not be using them this time--we have moved farther away.
