Re: What's on your countertop?

Hate cluttered counter tops. So, cutting board and toaster on one side of sink, other side the microwave (wish it was mounted over my range), on the counter beside my range are some cookbooks in a book rack, a bottle of white wine that I use in cooking, a knife block and my KA mixer. I have plenty of room to cook now. It wasn't always this way. lol

Re: What's on your countertop?

I wish I knew how to post pictures here. Sometimes I post and think, you would not believe all of the appliances and stuff on the shelves, the shoes, etc.

I just stand and look and think, hummmm someone is going to have to deal with all of this. Where to put it all.

Re: What's on your countertop?

I have lots of counter space, but I hate kitchen clutter. I have a basket of spatulas/spoons, keurig, phone, valerie parhill mosaic lamp, trivet, home reflections pineapple, towel holder, knife set. I don't keep anything on the island. I keep my small appliances in the pantry.

Re: What's on your countertop?

Too much stuff. The usual things:coffee maker, microwave, toaster, utensil crock, knife block, and the most important of all,the dog treat canister. I'd like to have less, but life seems to dictate more. In fact, I almost forgot the Vitamix I recently purchased. I try to have fun with retro styles, cheerful colors, nothing boring.

Re: What's on your countertop?

i have a galley kitchen - long but with almost no counter space. In order to accommodate items I needed, I had to install a shelf that spans from a cookbook bookcase at one end, to the sink at the other - about 5 feet long and 12 inches deep. On that I have my toaster oven, cutting boards, 2 bowls - one for tomatoes and one for onions & garlic, cooking utensils, and my keurig. On my actual counter I have my soda stream, kitchen aid stand mixer, food processor & ninja. That leaves me about 25 inches long x 12 inches deep of working space.

A Keurig in one corner next to the farmhouse sink.

A candy apple red KitchenAid mixer.

A large hand painted tin tray on an easel - I switch out platters or trays based on the season.

And a snowman David's cookie jar. I'll switch that to a bluebird jar in March when it gets a little warmer.

Re: What's on your countertop?

We re-did our kitchen last summer, so have lots more counter space. I'm trying to keep DH happy, as he did all the work & he HATES clutter. We have: microwave, mini-Keurig, toaster oven, and a knife block. On other end on a raised counter, we have a bowl/basket with apples. That's it. Now I am used to the minimalist look.

Re: What's on your countertop?

I have a big kitchen but not a lot of counter space so I keep it very uncluttered! On small counter between fridge and stove is my Keurig. On the long countertop is my SS Keurig pod holder with an assortment of coffees, my SS papertowel holder and my microwave. I like the minimalist look so I have a clear countertop for cooking, plus I just can't deal with clutter. I'm very OCD about my house and it drives my DH nuts! Reva

Re: What's on your countertop?

My Keurig coffee station, a toaster, a knife block, and the Temptations Old World chicken measuring spoon holder which I got for six dollars a few weeks ago at the QVC outlet.
