@CelticCrafter   The chocolate Cheerios are a staple at our grocery here.

They have regular circular and a limited edition heart shape.  If your stores do not carry them, maybe check Target or Walmart?

Actually making a red sauce in the slow cooker.  Will add some meatless meatballs in a little bit.  Wegmans has a nice line called "Don't Have a Cow".  Good tasting, not greasy.

We have company coming for 5 days..

stuffed peppers

green chili chicken

posole

corn summer squash potato chowdah..

pizza

I took out a stollen I made at Christmas.  And made chocolate chip cookies.

I have grass fed burger and salmon in the freezer.

I made stuff ahead so I can enjoy my company and not hafta be stuck in the kitchen.  Besides I like to cook and clean up alone...lol...DW

@Enufstuff  There is a monthly "what's cooking" thread in this forum, where some of us share our dinner plans, if you're looking for ideas.

DH is making filet mignon on the grill with some corn on the cob. Aldi's had filet for $8.99 lb while the ribeyes & strip steaks were $12.99 lb. I was surprised to see them since they were not in their ad. I bought 5 2 packs with the price of beef right now. They came 2 per package.

It's 96° feels like 104°.

@Nightowlz  That sounds wonderful. Last week my husband saw steak at Market Basket for $23.00 a pound. No one was buying. I imagine that increasing costs of everything will be seen

soon. I'm glad that my children are grown and I'm no longer

preparing meals for a family of 7 every day.

It's 95, my niece is making tacos but I want something lighter and cold.  I'm thinking I'll make myself some tuna salad and have watermelon with it.  Or perhaps just the watermelon.

@CoffeeNut  That sounds good to me. After cooking for a family of 7 for more than 50 years, I say"Any day that I don't have to cook is a good day."
