Re: What's cooking in September?

Happy Labor Day!

Tonight we'll have tacos with various toppings & watermelon, canteloupe & blueberry fruit salad with chocolate chip cookies.

Tomorrow is DH's birthday (72 but keep it a secret!🤣) We will have his favorite bbq ribs, twice baked potatoes & coleslaw. Our dessert of course is Danish layer birthday cake from our famous Danish bakery here in town, known world-wide for their Kringle!

Hope you all enjoy this holiday weekend!

Re: What's cooking in September?

Good evening everyone. 80s and muggy and a couple inches of rain coming over night and tomorrow. Ria and I made chicken and broccoli baked on Monday. Enough for a few meals and chicken and broccoli rice to go with it. The mixture goes good over baked potatoes .if anyone wants the recipe I will give it to you. And Tuesday I made home fried potatoes and red peppers and when veggies are tender you make a few spaces to drop an egg .in each spot .I did 3 for 3 eggs. All was very good. Hope you all are doing well and eating well. And still missing you winifred.sending prayers and well wishes to you.

Re: What's cooking in September?

Whew, meals and cooking have been all over the place this last week.  Life has been busy.  We've been eating out a bit more than usual and at home it's been super easy stuff that we can just grab or pull together a salad.

I made some keto strawberry chia seed jam the other day. had planned on making some keto bread, but decided against it.

Lunch today:

*Hard Boiled Egg

*Peanut Butter & Strawberriy Chia Seed Jam on wonder bread chaffles

*Pumpkin-Caramel Cold Brew Iced Latte

Dinner tonight:

Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

Roasted Asparagus

Dessert: Vanilla Chia Seed Pudding with Blueberries
