Ooh, we're having lunch company tomorrow.  I have cukes in the fridge and just picked some of our tomatoes today.  Thanks for the idea!

Re: What's cooking in September?

Last night was tossed salad with garden fresh cukes & tomatoes, meatloaf, mashed potatoes & farmer's market green beans. Dessert was ice cream with hot fudge sauce.

For tonight?? Help!! May go for fish fry at our favorite place, the best kept secret in town!

I hope all have a relaxing weekend with good food !

Re: What's cooking in September?

I just finished lunch:

*2 pasture raised kegs, fried

*sauteed asparagus

*some Kalamata olives

*Quest peanut butter cookies (a very rare treat for me)

*pumpkin spice cold brew iced latte

We have a few errands to do this afternoon so dinner will be whatever is quick and easy to pick from the fridge. 🤷‍♀️

Re: What's cooking in September?

I tried a new tossed salad recipe yesterday.  It's basically romaine, spinach, kale, shredded brussel sprouts, avocado, artichoke hearts (which I didn't have), dressing made with EVOO, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and a little garlic, and topped with a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds.  It's not something I'd eat everyday, but it was pretty good.  I still have all the ingredients so I know we'll be having it another time or two this week.
