Okay, the pork roast was wonderful! We have enough left for pork sandwiches tomorrow. Had corn on cob and creamed spinach. Plus sliced cucumbers and onion. Good dinner.

Yes! Tried the pork roast recipe. It is a winner.

This looks good, so I copied it. Want to try it for a party sometime.

Pull-Apart Cheesy Garlic Bread

Serves 8-10

Ingredients

• 1 large loaf sourdough bread
• 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
• 1/3 cup green onion, finely chopped
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 teaspoons poppy seeds

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
2. Use a sharp, serrated knife to cut bread diagonally in both directions to create small diamonds.
   Note: be careful not to cut bread all the way through; cut 3/4 way down the loaf, making sure the bottom is still connected.
3. In a microwaveable bowl, combine butter, garlic and poppy seeds and microwave at 20-second intervals until melted.
4. Stir green onion into butter.
5. Wedge your fingers into the diamond cut-outs in the bread to open them up and drizzle melted butter and green onion down into the cracks.
6. Fill cracks with shredded mozzarella (it’s ok if some pokes out on top), then wrap loaf in aluminum foil.
7. Place wrapped loaf in oven and bake for 15 minutes. Carefully unwrap and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Remove from oven and serve immediately.

Downright chilly here this morning. It is supposed to be hot and humid.  Sure not looking forward to that.   Merle has a dermatologist appt this morning.   It will be a long morning cause he has lots of problem spots.   Even his elbow has decided to grow those darn Basel cell things.  He has really been good about wearing his hat but this is damage from years ago.   Sorry Davey was injured.  That pork roast really sounds good.

Dealing with my usual frustation with this place! Still can't figure how they have the posts listed. Sometimes I log in and they are in order first to last, next time not that way.

Well, good morning all anyway,

Going to put some things out for garage sale. In the mean time, garage door quick working. Had a simple fix till they order a part. Heating and cooling man came and is doing a yearly check up as I type. Fellow coming this afternooon to hang and hook up TV above the fireplace And he will carry some of the things up from basement to garage for sale.

Sounds like we are in battle mode here but so much that Nelson can not do and neither can I.

Soushi, if you float the threadsyou frequent to the top, they will always be there, otherwise, they can get lost.

In my preferences I ask for newest post first then accept it.   I also found out if I uncheck relative date in preferences, the actual date of the post is written.   I find that a lot easier than three hours ago.   Again you have to accept at bottom of list

Afternoon all, made a pot of spaghetti sauce so supper will be easy, just toss a salad & garlic bread, done.

Weather is warming up, put the a/c on again, think it'll be going for quite a few days according to the "experts", but I do have to say with the fairly new (2 yrs) a/c the bills haven't been horrendous as they were before.

Hope the garage sale goes well Soushi, it's a lot of work getting it ready, I'm not ready for that so I understand what you & Nelson are going thru.

a BIG pizza - sausage and pepperoni - all for $4.99. Could not believe it as that is unheard of and it was good. The local big box grocery store puts out pizzas and other foods - am sure like most things like this, they do NOT make it, probably a big name product. Sure was good.

Hotter than you know what today - 106, humidity high and it is still hot even at almost 8:30 at night. Actually right now it is 101 - this is dumb. Tomorrow suppose to be worse. Ugh.

Sleep well one and all and hope all ate well  - Spix we should have come over to your house.
