Was it you or @Sooner who wanted to know when cherries were available?

I saw some just yesterday.  Grown in my own state, CA.  The bag wasn't labeled but it was one of these (most likely Brooks or Tulare).  The taste is somewhere between Rainier and sour cherries, on the tart side:

That is a hard question to answer.  I love fruit, so if it is in that category, I'll take it.  I like it cold and crisp and fresh.
