What goodies did you enjoy on Christmas?

For brunch we had buckwheat pancakes, smoked applewood bacon and eggnog.

For dinner we had a salad, prime rib, and baked potatos.

For dessert a little later, we'll have some gingerbread with sliced pears and a glass of white wine {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Glazed ham with cherries, roasted turkey, roasted fingerlings, sweet potato casserole, truffle mac and cheese, fresh fruit salad, egg nog panna cotta, cashew tart, beignets with pear ice cream. So full right now! Smiley Happy

Re: What goodies did you enjoy on Christmas?

Oh dear I think I had too many goodies on Christmas Day, lol.{#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

Brunch was a baked sausage casserole that was made up Christmas Eve, refrigerated overnight then baked in the morning. We also had assorted fresh fruits.

Afternoon Coffee was small bite size sandwiches, homemade fruit salad and homemade cookies and mini muffins.

Dinner was Beef Wellington, Ham, Roasted Potatoes, Asparagus, Corn Casserole, Salad and Yeast Rolls. Dessert was a Coconut Cake, Peach Cobbler and mini cheesecakes.

Just reading all of this makes me full, lol, but I did my normal little bites of the above and didn't feel stuffed.

All in all we had a Wonderful Christmas with delicious foods, but more importantly loved ones aplenty.

Judgejudith, did we eat together? I made prime rib, twice baked potatoes and a Caesar salad. I needed something simple.

Re: What goodies did you enjoy on Christmas?

For breakfast we had a sausage/egg casserole with homemade biscuits. Dinner was a glazed ham, mashed potatoes made with cream cheese, butter, and heavy cream, broccoli, hot bread. Dessert was warm apple pie with caramel swirl ice cream. This was NOT a low cal meal, lol. Good thing we don't eat this way all the time.

For Christmas Eve we had fried shrimp at my brother and SIL's house. So yummy! Christmas Day I made prime rib, creamy mashed potatoes, Alton Brown's glazed carrots, homemade rolls, and salad with homemade bleu cheese dressing. For dessert, Christmas cookies and peppermint ice cream.

Re: What goodies did you enjoy on Christmas?

We had a big brunch instead of a dinner for Christmas Day as our son had to work at 3.30pm. I love to cook and usually make everything from scratch but I did buy one thing and it was fabulous,lol! It was the Cranberry Walnut Croissant Ring from Trader Joes. It was so good! It is like a ring of croissants stuffed with sweetened cranberries and walnuts. You leave it out overnight to rise and bake it in the morning. I would definitely get this again. Excellent choice for people who don't like to bake.

Re: What goodies did you enjoy on Christmas?

Traditional Christmas dinner of turkey, dressing, gravy, cranberries, sweet potatoes, masked potatoes, green beans, broccoli casserole, rolls, pumpkin pie, and lots of homemade cookies. It was nice to have a hot meal because for Thanksgiving all I had was a cold ham sandwich due to family illnesses.
