Well, the big day is here.  I worked all day yesterday and did a couple of last minute things early this morning.  I planned to assemble my caprese skewers this morning.  Lo and behold, I forgot to get the tomatoes! 🤦‍♀️  We can stop on the way to DD's and I'll assemble them there.  The salami Christmas trees are cute but it was a rigmarole cutting out the cheese stars.  

Have a great day everyone.  If today is your food prep day, try not to stress.  I know, sometimes easier said than done.

I am cooking supper for my girls and their boyfriends today.  We will be eating ham, meatballs in beef gravy, meatballs in chili sauce, mashed potatoes, corn, deviled eggs, rolls and fudge pie for dessert.  I do not cook on Christmas Day!   

Currently sunny and 57 degrees in southern WV; Merry Christmas to all!

Tomorrow we will have seafood gumbo , Brunswick stew , grilled cheese , cookie tray , cheesecake , sliced strawberries , whipped cream

Good morning and MERRY CHRISTMAS, friends! 🎄🌟

We had a wonderful time with our family yesterday.  DSIL worked his magic on the brisket.  It was truly excellent for a first timer.  All of my food was well received.  I left all the paper goods, plasticware, serving platters, etc. plus deviled eggs and cookies for DD to put out today when DSIL's family gets together.  Our DDIL is working today.  I thought DS would stay home and let the kids play with all their new stuff but last night he said they're coming here.  I am serving leftovers!

Good morning and merry Christmas to all of you.  Anna cooked last night and food was delicious. She made roasted red peppers, fried artichokes, fried celery, fried shrimp and fried calamari,  a cold cut plater, broccoli and cauliflower, baked stuffed lobsters, and more that I can remember. Chocolate, fruit, nuts cheesecake. I was so full when we came upstairs and ria and I opened gifts. We finally layed down at midnight. In just minutes we both were sleep. For breakfast I had frozen apple turnovers in the freezer so I baked them for an easy breakfast. Ria worked a half a day and came home with Wendys for lunch. We were exhausted but it was a great day and night yestauday. Ria got a ton of gifts from work. Have a great Christmas day everyone.

Tuesday, when we were gong to do the advance delivery to DD's, DH had the car loaded and when we went to back out of the garage it was dead.  We transferred veto the other car and went on our way.  When we got home DH wa able to jump the battery but it's an old one, probably orignal.  When we purchased the car we took the bumper-to-bumer coverage.  He called the dealer, to see if the battery was covered, and they told him to come in today and they'd take care of him.  He's leaving soon.  I'll stay home. When he gets back we'll have a simple lunch; salami, cheese, mini peppers, olives, yogurt.  

We want to get a walk in but other than that we're vegging the rest of the day.

By request, we are having fried ham, biscuits, gravy and apples for supper tonight.

We are having pizza with mushrooms, onions and peppers, and a salad with Italian dressing and bleu cheese crumbles. Hope everyone had a great holiday.

While cleaning up from yesterday's gathering, I cleaned out the pantry, main fridge and freezer from the garage.  Buying very little from the grocery store this week as we are going to use some of the stuff we already have and will be having:  steak quesadilla, steak fajitas, chicken breasts, rice and vegetable and stuffed peppers.

We are having leftovers.  Ham, green beans, mashed potatoes.  I did buy a red velvet cake roll.
