Re: What are Your Recommendations for Cookware?

People are giving good reviews on Made In cookware. Very expensive -- similar in price to All Clad.  Just read that's it's made in USA and Italy.

Calphalon and the Rachael Ray 8qt Pasta Pot. I don't know why good stainless steel cookware has gone out of style. Mine are workhorses in the kitchen.

Re: What are Your Recommendations for Cookware?

Got small set of All-Clad a few years ago and am quite happy with it.  Added a few pieces that I have needed.  Oven as well as stove top usage.  Sales at Macy's had been quite good.  Factory sale also beneficial - get on their mailing list.  The only other thing I use is a small Zwilling ceramic lined fry pan that we love to use for eggs and sauting onions.

I have had my stainless steel copper clad Revere Ware since we were married.  Not a minutes trouble.

This is the exact same set I have had since 1973, the year I got married!

Funny that this came up. because just yesterday as I was spiffing up the copper on the fry pan with a bit of Barkeeper's Friend I was musing about the fact that it was now 50 years old.

Like you said, never a problem with these, and if cared for they still look pretty darn close to brand new despite decades of meals prepared.

HexClad. Be ready for jaw dropping prices though. It's extremely expensive stuff.  From Hell's Kitchen.

$700 for that set on HexClad dot com.

Individual pieces would cost a lot more.

I forgot my 12 cup Wolfgang weeknighter pot. Grab one if they ever come back in stock.

Don't buy a set of anything-you will receive some pans you will never use.  I go to Home Goods or TJ Maxx and buy pans that I need.  Great prices-even found AllClad sold singly.
