Re: What Is On Your Menu This Beautiful Sunday?

This evening we'll grill a pork tenderloin.  He will have scalloped potatoes maybe turnip greens for the green vegetable.

I'll roast Brussel sprouts and another vegetable.

Re: What Is On Your Menu This Beautiful Sunday?

Shocking the universe, and it probably deserved a breaking news alert, but I actually cooked for myself today. First time I've turned on the stove since early June.  Seriously.

I made chili.  I ate about 2/3 of a bowl and froze the rest.  It tasted fine, but once I got it made, I just wasn't interested in it.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@gidgetgh  Don't you hate it when you do the work to cook a meal and don't care about eating it.

I usually do that at the holidays.

At least you have some in the freezer for a later date.

Hamburger steak with onion-mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob.  One of my husband's favorite meals.

Re: What Is On Your Menu This Beautiful Sunday?

I had an almond and coconut KIND bar for breakfast.

I'm going to have a half a sausage sandwich for lunch.  I love breakfast sausage and always have these pre-cooked Jimmy Dean sausage patties on hand.  Just brown 'em up and they are ready to go.  They are very small so two of them make a perfect half sandwich on a slice of organic, whole grain bread with seeds, and some mustard.   Looking forward to that!  Smiley Happy

For dinner I think I'm having a carrot and some watermelon.

I'm pretty boring.  Smiley Happy
