Re: Wegmans Tuscan Garlic Bread, Holy Moley!!

@Shelbelle   We have a Weis about 11/12 miles in one direction and there my be a Price Chopper the same distance in the opposite direction from where we live.

Luckily DD works in a city and is near a Wegmans.  She does 99% of the grocer shopping, I hate it. She said Wegmans has better prices than other places on a lot of stuff.

Every couple of months we travel to central PA, we are in NE PA, to a great meat market/deli and stock up.She is on vacation the week before Easter and we are taking a trip there. It is about 2 hours each way.

At my local Haggen store, their bakery has a roasted garlic loaf---for $5---it is amazing!!!  Has cloves of roasted garlic in it--a very rustic, oval shaped loaf--soft inside and crunchy outside----I buy a loaf everytime I go there!!!

Hello, we also have Weis in our neighborhood but their prices as a whole are higher than Wegmans.

Wegmans prices are on par with Walmart, we compare and some items may be just a penny difference in price.

I live in SWPA, no Wegmanns, no Publix.  We have Giant Eagle and Shop n Save, Whole Foods and Aldis.  Our Giant Eagle has a good selections of specialty breads, but they sell out fast.  This bread sounds amazing.  @CrazyKittyLvr2   Enjoy!

Where in central PA are you heading?    My sister and brother in law always enjoyed trips to Lancaster to grocery shop at some specialty stores there.

@lynnie61   We are headed to Williamsport.  Before you get to downtown Williamsport there is a strip with stores on both sides of the road, also restaurants. If I remember it is called the Golden Strip.

We go on that road to get to Tony's Deli.  I think they just had their 50th anniversary.  Best meat around.  It is a small place.  You can order ahead and do pick up outside. Very nice people too.
