mine was only 2 weeks old, never been opened . took it out of the box, bag had tiny black ants in it. alive and walking around.
I threw in trash. General Mills I think makes Bisquick.
expiration date was 10-2023.
must been from the plant or the store. I've never had ants in anything here in North end of Tx. No moisture
LOL

Thanks. I only use Bisquick once a year at Christmas and didn't make that cookie this year.

Well, if you still have the information, by all means call their Customer Service number and be very, VERY upset. They'll probably send you a coupon or something to apologize. After all, why should you lose money on this purchase?
If you have the serial coding for when/where it was manufactured, give that to them, too. I know bugs are common in flour, etc, but my mind always goes back to that poisoned Tylenol fiasco ... sabotage comes to mind.

Haven't bought Bisquick for a very long time. Is it in a sealed package inside those boxes or just loose? When I know the product in a box is not in a sealed bag, I decant it before I put it on the pantry shelf. I have been living in humid areas way too long not to be leary!

See!
Now that's why you should move back North! No bugs survive the winter here! 😁

That's awful, contact the company & let them know the info on the box. I found a big bolt with nut in a can of kidney beans, I called the company & they asked me to send the bolt back...later I received a thoughful Thank You note with coupons letting me know the bolt was from a processing machine that failed. I used the coupons & still use that brand of kidney beans.

LOL must have read some of my life history. Just the
thought of moving anywhere wears me out. Too old to go thru another major move.

That's definitely something that Bisquick would want to know about since it indicates a problem (most likely) in their production (since the bag was sealed). Taking pictures of the product and box and providing that along with the bar code info and other numbers on the box will help them isolate where/when it happened.
