I did not have bugs in mine but my daughter bought me the largest box available and I was greatful to receive it .What my bisquick did was nothing. I have used this product for many years and was attempting to make dumplings they didn't rise at all .Since I had such a large box thinking maybe it was me I opted to try two more times same thing .happened I believe something was missing in the mix one of the rising properties. I could make these thing blind. Consequently I purchased a new box worked on first try I do know it wasn't me the company needs to check their product I certainly couldn't be the only one this happened to.

I noticed Pearl Mills Pancake Mix is not packaged in a plastic bag.

Does this mean I need to account for greater protein when I have Bisquick dumplings? ![]()
Actually I've learned to just throw them together with flour, baking powder, a pinich of salt a dab of milk and a drop or two of oil. And spices (Cajun? Taco? Italian herbs) sometimes!

@Flatbush wrote:I store Bisquick in the refrigerator. I use it infrequently, but years after the expiration date, it is still as good as new. And, never any bugs.
I mainly use it for a very old recipe, "Impossible Pie".
It is all done in a blender.
Love impossible pies. Crustless quiche is a favorite. No crust to deal with. Cocoanut and French apple pies are good too.
Would someone please post this recipe? If you buy the store brand of baking mix, they don't have the same recipes.
TIA

I use Bisquick to make Lemon pie.
There are many different recipes on line if you Google Impossible Pies.
Any how, this is the Lemon Pie recipe:
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup lemon juice
1T grated lemon rind or more
1/2 cup Bisquick
4 eggs
1/4 cup butter or margarine ( 1/2 stick )
Pour milk, sugar, lemon juice, lemon rind, Bisquick, eggs and butter in the blender for 2-3 minutes.
Pour into buttered 10" pie plate.
Bake @ 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until center is set.
Optional: Sprinkle 1/2 t sugar over top of baked pie.
Place under broiler til lightly browned.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post, @Flatbush ! This really sounds good. I will go to the web and search under impossible pies.

Those little ants are everywhere! I received a package with honey in it from Amazon and, I admit, I left it inside the screened porch overnight, but ants were all under the plastic lid when I took it off!!!!!
Never seen them on my porch, could have been the warehouse, truck, who knows! I also found some in both my flours in my cupboard! I put out some ant baits....hope they help. They appear suddenly in droves!
