I have the 9 cup and I wish the dicer kit would fit on it. I know I would dice more than anything. I guess I will have to replace.

I've been cooking for about 55 years now and never, ever felt the need to use a food processor. If I had one I know I wouldn't use it. Go figure.

I'm so glad that your wife loves the dicing attachment. I have arthritis in my hands so chopping is becoming painful for me. This attachment was one of the features that attracted me the most.
I have a 7 cup Cuisinart that is about 30 years old. My husband and I can't get the bowl off - he had to whack it with a rubber mallet. It still works but who wants to go through whacking the bowl everyone time to use it. I ordered the KitchenAid today as the deal was a good one. Macys, Kohls, BB&Y all want a lot more money that QVC. I know there have been reviewers that say the KA leaves food on top of the disc after processing. This is true of my old Cuisinart too. Several of my friends say this is a problem with their machines and they have different brands.
Thanks you all who gave me feedback on my original post.

Love my KA with the dicing attachment. So easy and fast. Fantastic for those of us who make a lot of soups. I really use the adjustable slicing blade. Works great and I have total control of the thickness of my veggies.

I have had 3 Cuisinarts since the mid 1970's. None of them quit on me. Two I gave to my mom and the newer one was still going at her estate sale.
My newest one is the biggest one Cuisinart makes (can't remember how many cups!) but it has three bowls and I absolutely LOVE it! We use it all the time for chopping, shredding, doughs, mixing, and lots of other thing. I would hate to be without it! They really are workhorses.
I bought my first one in college for a little apartment! People would come over an be amazed because they didn't know anything like that existed! It worked for more than 20 years and was used a LOT!

A big fan of Cuisinart....have their 14C processor and a good amount of their SS cookware.
I have given thought to a KA stand mixer......because of the colors, actually, but, I have a 700W Kenwood stand mixer that we received as a wedding give more than 20 years ago.....and it is still going strong.
It's a big decision, for sure.

Bought a cuisinart when my oldest had wisdom teeth pulled for braces. Used it for a week and finally in the nineties after ten years in the cupboard I gave the thing away.
