Those old refrigerators sure lasted a long time. When we moved into our current house the refrigerator was 30+ years old and still going strong. It was really a tank. These days refrigerators are said to last only about 8 years.

One problem with buying a house with a vintage kitchen is that the spots for appliances are often not large enough to accomodate modern appliances.

I have 2 bisque texturized refrigerators with freezer on the bottom.  It will be a very sad day when they stop working.  Wish they still made that color.

I also never saw the cart.....  is it a tea or coffee cart that came out of the cabinet space?   We had avacodo appliances growing up.  I still have my dads old black fridge in our garage.  I have a stainless fridge, but can't keep it smudge free.  Our neighbors growing up had copper appliances, I thought they were so cool.

My mom had a wringer washer probably until 1995.  We never had  an intercom.  But we had one of the first few push button phones on our street.  Also avacodo!

My daughter got a red North Star gas stove with lots of chrome. It was very pricey, but it's perfect in her 50's retro kitchen.
