Do you and you hubby have a vegetable war often? We do!
Having taught nutrition as part of my majors (although, color was my path), if we aren't "blessed" with a leftover green vegetable, I can always throw together slaw, a salad, frozen (emergency) spinach or something.
Right now I have (he won't eat and I love) snow peas! We both like green beans, but they DO take a lot of prep work. I don't go through all of that for ONE night!
My evening question is WHAT green veggie do you want?". I am met with a frown!
Is your dinner time easier?![]()

My husband gets a HUGE salad (dinner plate size) every nite before dinner. He's a carnivore, but loves my salads.
It's not just let, toms and cucs.
I add peppers, snow peas, chick peas, blanched green beans, roasted asparagus, brocolli---whatever I'm making for my dinner--gets tossed into his salad.
The salad fills him up pretty good and that keeps down his portions of meat and potatoes.....
Almost every nite he says 'That was the best salad I've ever had'. Been hearing that for decades.![]()

@Lucky Charm Sounds SO yummy, although, I can't take the texture of dried beans or peas in any form.

I love salads but I mix it up with different twists on them. I also do English lea salads and broccoli salads but they are best made a day head of time. My go to veggie though is asparagus just topped with a little garlic salt. I love it!
i also love Lima beans, but I am not sure that really counts as a green veggie...haha.

No arguments at my house since I don't cook a big meal every day. I'm lucky that my hubby will eat anything that I make. Meal time just isn't a big deal for us and we seldom sit down and eat at the same time. Veggies aren't always green....acorn squash, summer squash, sliced tomatoes, canned carrots....all of them will work for both of us.
