'It would be nice to have an empty wine bottle or two to hold these graceful items and place them in a strategic spot.

No, I don't.  They go into the recycling bin.  I already have enough dust collectors.

Not really, I just recycle mine.   Though I do have an old vintage chianti bottle with the straw on it that has a candle in it of course, LOL.    Also  years ago DH made me a "lighted" bottle out of a special edition Rolling Stones wine bottle.  I keep it on my bar and light it up at night, I love it.  Other than that though I don't see a use for them.

I have an old champagne bottle that I've kept through the years with my initial on it. I have fairy lights in it. I don't drink sweet wines but have a friend who does and she saved all her cobalt blue bottles for my bottle trees outside. Those are the only times I've saved any bottles.

I have a bottle tree.  Sometimes there are blue bottles on it, other times a mix of red and green.  Depending on the holiday or sporting events determines this.  I live near two wineries and in a recycling town with many restaurants!

I also collect cat wine bottles in different colors which sit next to my fireplace, these as well, change with the season or occasion.  I have bought all of these. If there is not a color I want, I use the clear one and put food coloring in the water in the bottle.

@goldensrbest Yes, I use empty wine bottles to store veg oil and EVOO.  I also have a hard time getting rid of (Mason type) jars pasta sauce comes in.  I use those for storing dry beans.

Depending on the state you live in, many have a deposit on them and are supposed to be taken to a redemption center.

As for keeping a wine bottle for any other use?  No.

There are several ideas.

Do these on a table, bathroom or in the kitchen.  They would also be pretty on a tray in the fireplace.
