Re: Tomato (Spaghetti's) Sauce Shock!

I have been a fan of Raos but found a new favorite.  Yo Mama's.  I found it at Walmart and it is lower in fat and sodium than Raos. Also no added sugar which is key for me.

Re: Tomato (Spaghetti's) Sauce Shock!

I just tried "Vero Gusto"..put out by Barilla..It's tall skinny jar..

I thought it was very good.I'm Italian..I did add a little garlic

and a pinch of sugar..no one at the table said anything was was not right..I'll keep it around for my lazy days!

I always found something really wrong with any of the jarred sauces.

For those who have accessibility to Whole Foods they have their 365 brand of organic pasta sauce that is wonderful.  It's inexpensive (25 oz. for $2.39) and comes in several varieties.  Besides tasting great it contains no sugar which many pasta sauces do and I don't want that.

Re: Tomato (Spaghetti's) Sauce Shock!

Many of the bottled sauces are just too sweet for me because they use sugar to reduce the acidity instead of baking soda....I like the GIA RUSSA brand the best---there's no sugar added in the Hot Silician flavor!
