@Azcowgirl : Very cute. I can’t afford the other one mentioned. I need one that is easier to clean. Pops the food item up higher to prevent burning fingers and toast evenly. Southern Bee

get yourself one of those wooden tongs and keep by toaster. Got mine at Bed & bath. Small tong that pinches the bread to take out when it's to hot

I don't usually get the bread stuck in there, but, if it should happen unplug the toaster and can use the tong to dig it out. Better then a fork !
