The Chef for Cooks' Essentials Was Live In the Studio Early AM.

[ Edited ]

Julia C. was hosting, and the Chef for Cooks' Essentials was in the Studio in the 2:00 AM show this morning.  He was across in another set from Julia, but she said she could smell his cooking.

Maybe the vendors are beginning to come back.

I also noticed the make-up looks more professional & wondered if the make-up artists are back in the studio too.

No need for vendors in studio. Waste of money and time. Virtual is fine. Welcome to the 21st century.

@stellabystarlight is that the black guy that was on Food Network Star?  I think he was in-studio last week during Dave's show.  I didn't watch the show, but popped in and I noticed the camera-work for him looked more professional and the what was behind him looked like part of the set, not his kitchen.  I'm not a fan of the vendors skyping in and would love to see them back in-studio as well as a larger complement of models for the fashion items.

@Icegoddess  Yes, that's him.  I love seeing the vendors in the studio, as you said, the camera work is so much better.

Maybe they are gradually bringing more vendors in the studio and they are beginning with the overnight shows when few people are in the building.

I also find that on the Fashion Shows - the colors are all off from the vendors home.  After all, they do not have professional lighting or professional cameras.

I thought they stopped live broadcasting between midnight and 7:00am.

Yes, the Cook's Essentials rep (Aaron McCargo Jr) has been on air in the studio for about 50-75% of his presentations for the last month or so. He lives in South Jersey, so I'm guessing he's a good candidate to test with if QVC decides it wants to try having some local vendors come in and see how things go. It also seems that they are adding vendors to the list of those who use the "offsite kitchen studio" for presentations; for awhile, only Greg Shockley was appearing there, but I've seen a couple of other people using that set for food presentations fairly recently.

@Winkk   I am on Eastern time, and they broadcast live until 3:00 AM.  They resume live broadcasting at 7:00 AM.

I hope the vendors return as well.  Like someone said above, the fashion items really don't show well from their homes.  I really dislike when they show pictures from the Q website.  I mean, really???  Why even present the product if you can't bother to bring it on set?

Icegoddess, the "Black Guy' is Aaron McCargo. Please refer to someone by their name and not by the color of their skin.  Thank you.
