I have a few very nice pieces of Temptations including the knives and canisters. They are pretty for display, especially the Cucina design, which I've never seen again on the shows. I would continue buying pieces to put already cooked food in to serve, but I won't chance baking in them. My latest is the bread basket which is heavy and large. I use it for a fruit bowl on my kitchen table. It is gorgeous. That will never see the oven either. I do love the spice color which I'm sure I will buy next. I have been lucky that all my pieces have never arrived damaged.

I would also like to add that Tara doesn't have to have a rack for every piece. It is unnecessary. You can only store so many racks/baskets. The trivets or tempered glass pieces or enough.

Why don't you bake in them?

Re: Temptations, my two cents

Don't want to take the chance and bake after all these discussions about cracking, breaking, etc. here. There is a thread every time I come here on that subject. I will not put my Cucina in the oven, forget it. I am perfectly happy using them for display and serving pieces. I don't have a ton of pieces anyway. I still have my bakeware from years back and won't throw them away.

Mine go in the oven all the time, never had a problem. I would not buy them if they were just for display. I would buy more but just don't need any, I bought a large set when it was a TSV and have been very happy with them.

I bake in them all the time and put them in the dishwasher. Wouldn't have bought TT if I could only use them for serving and had to hand wash them. I know the newer items are of lesser quality in the painting and colors. I no longer take a chance on gifting any.

Re: Temptations, my two cents

I have the Cucina two piece bowl set and I use it mostly in the summer when serving guacamole & salsa. I love the festive design and is great when sitting out on the patio with some Margaritas or sangria! I also haven't used it in the oven but I do have a polka dot set that I use for making casseroles frequently and have not had any problems with cracking (knocks on wood!)

Re: Temptations, my two cents

I bought tt when Tara first came to qvc and only had solid colors. I have the deep dark green and it has never chipped or cracked and it has gone from freezer to microwave and oven. It is also thicker then the tt I have now which is the old world in green. The tt that is sold now is not the same quality. My 9Ă—13 pan cracked and my brownie pan is chipped. I no longer buy tt.

I don't blame you for not wanting to take any chances, the cucina pattern was darling, and I sure wish it would come back again.

My decorating theme is Tuscan and the Cucina looks so pretty in my breakfront. Maybe Tara will bring that design back.

I love my Temp-tations and I bake in them all the time. I've never had a problem. You always read stories about people having problems but I bet if you took a poll of EVERYONE who has used them the vast majority have no complaints or else they wouldn't sell so many.

I just bought a starter set for my married daughter Smiley Happy
