I would hardly call Tara a liar.  That is a pretty strong accusation.

I previously only used Temp. as serving dishes.

However, this Thanksgiving, I purchased a 13 x 9 square and Oval baker.  Made M&C in one and vegg casserole in the other.

Neither stuck.  I didn't spray or grease.

Cleanup was a breeze (hand washed).

I called her that because she said to David, it doesn't stick and you never have to use spray or anything in it.  And she was talking about baking.  I've had other things stick too, like mac & cheese but just around the edges and that cleans very nicely.  But when I bake a cranberry loaf and turn it upside down, it comes out in pieces, even after I use a butter knife to loosen the sides.

I record ITKWD and I just watched Weds show last night.  When David was baking in a Temptations he said he greased it first.  So thats what I would do if I were you.

I have never heard Tara say you didnt have to grease the pan when baking in temptations ..I have listened to many presentations...i would also never call someone a liar, especailly in a forum where they cannot defend themselves..Perhaps what you heard might have been out of context..

Even silicone bakeware should be greased....

The exception for greasing in baking might be bread..many loaves of bread will pretty much fall out of a baking pan without being greased- perhaps THis is what she was referring to?

Tara has said you do not to grease Temptations; it is "naturally non-stick.":

i have heard her say that when she is demoing a hot casserole.  she will take a spatula and push off the side to show it does not stick on the bottom.  i have never heard her say that you do not have to grease when baking a flour based product though.  frankly i take the no grease thing with a grain of salt.

I’ve never baked anything in Temp-tations that stuck to the point of not being able to remove it by rinsing the dish and maybe using a sponge. If I was going to bake something that I wanted to remove cleanly, like a cake, I would hedge my bets by spraying it with cooking spray or lightly greasing the pan. Isn’t that just common sense?

Tara was just on with David and was showing a baking dish.  She said there is no need for greasing Temp-tations or spraying with a non-stick spray because her brand is naturally non-stick.  Now, I was just at  a get-together with some of my church people and one of the guys said he finds that all his baked goods stick.  He said he called Temp-tations and they told him he needs to grease them.  WHAT!  Why does Tara lie on TV.  I have never had anything I bake come right out of the bakeware.  It always sticks even if I grease them.  And I love my Temp-tations even though.

@luvmybeetle

I use parchment baking liners when I bake.  Product releases perfectly.  No harmful sprays needed.

FWIW,  don’t presenters and hosts often stretch the truth?  It’s a sales job.

Good luck.
