TSV KA Food Processor - No Accessory Box?

Hi all. I'd love that food processor in the yellow, but it occurred to me that I'd have a pile of parts and no neat way to contain them. Does anyone know if there is a box made for the accessories? I'm disappointed that Qz left it out.

In one of my kitchens I have a Costco Cuisinart FP with the accessory box right next to it. It's WONDERFUL to have everything there, in its place. - Bird

Don't know about Kitchenaid accessory box Bird, but I also have a Cuisinart FP and keep my accessory box in the cabinet right above. Wouldn't want those sharp blades just hanging out in a drawer or cabinet where someone can get cut. The box keeps them nice and organized.

Please read other threads regarding the power on this TSV. I use a clear, plastic shoebox for my blade storage.

I also have a Cuisinart FP and it didn't come with an accessory 'box' either, but I purchased one years ago for a small amount and it works great. It has slots to stand the flat, round blade things and areas for the other type of blades.

So, maybe KA also has one you can purchase separately.

Also, you might want to check around before buying a Chinese-made KA that is mass produced for a QVC TSV. Just sayin' ...

I have an older KA food processor(6or more years ago) and mine did come with the accessory box. I don't understand why it wouldn't be part of the package now. That makes no sense

Re: TSV KA Food Processor - No Accessory Box?

Available directly from KitchenAid for ~$40.

QVC sells the 13-cup KA food processor with the disc/blade storage container for ~$183 + S&H&tax. No yellow, though.

I think the TSV's a good price for the 9 cup, and the break on S&H helps; but the additional cost of a container will drive the price up considerably.

I'm going to replace my old 8-cup food processor with a 14-cup Cuisinart (not the Elite model) from Amazon today. I'm going to buy their storage container. Total cost will be ~$178 before tax (no S&H). The KA storage container is much much better, but the Cuisinart food processor rates higher (Cook's Illustrated, Consumer Reports).

For years I've been using a rectangular cheap plastic bakery container (that originally held biscuits from the grocery store) to hold the blades and discs from my old food processor. Works fine but I'm ready for a step up.

I hope you like your new Cuisinart, Irish! I've had mine for quite a while now (I'm thinking somewhere around 15 years) and I couldn't be more pleased. In my experience, over the decades, Cuisinart has continued to be a very good brand.

Thanks, chickenbutt! I know I will. I've agonized over this purchase for a long time, comparing different food processors, reading and re-reading reviews, price shopping, etc. I'm a n al-retentive that way, LOL! But that workhorse 14-cup Cuisinart finally won out, and the price just dropped ~$20 on Amazon. I'm eyeing all the additional blades for it, too. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I'm already a devoted fan of Cuisinart coffee makers.

Re: TSV KA Food Processor - No Accessory Box?

Another high five for the Cuisinart FP....I have the 14C unit, as well as the small chopper unit. Both items perform well, true workhorses in the kitchen. I also am a big fan of the Cuisinart line of SS cookware. It has performed well and I have mentioned my love of the line many times on the BB.....LOL.

Enjoy your new FP.
