Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

@wagirl, thank you so much!

I do love the little casserole dishes.  I have even used them to make little apple pies.  They would also be cute for dessert, and I can really imagine an ice cream sundae, or banana split in one.

I bet your daughter loved the rose fiesta.  I have a rose small (juice size) disc pitcher.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Hi, Everyone:  It looks like it' s been quite some time since we've "talked" with each other.  I haven't purchased any Fiestaware for quite some time---no $$$$ since the divorce.  Plus, my kitchen in this house has so few cabinets compared tomy country kitchen, I just don't have room and also don't have the physical room to add a free standing cabinet.

My back is getting worse and I am having a walk-in shower installed this coming Thursday.  Can't wait.

I miss the talks we used to have.  I often think of all of you and hope everything is well with each of you.  Take care and remember, we still have to take that trip to the warehouse and ferret out those pieces of Fiesta that are "lost" and the company doesn't even know they have.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Hi @wismiss! And the rest of the fiestanistas!

I haven’t been here in forever. I did buy a place setting of mulberry recently. I love my purples and it goes so well with the other colors I have. I was hoping for another color that I don’t like so I wouldn’t spend the money. But oh well!

I really have too many pieces and am thinking about selling a few. I’m just not sure. And I’m not sure the best way to do that.  Suggestions are welcome!

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

My last purchase was the tortilla dish with the lid, in the sunflower, I have all colors in my collection--and it works very well keeping torts warm, but will use it as a casserole dish too. I am contemplating buying a few pieces of the black skull and vines. I have a couple things  in the newest white sugar skull. Like to mix it up a bit. Will wait for sales tho--Macys usually has good sales plus extra % off.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Hello, Everyone. There is a Facebook group called Fiestaware Fanatics Anonymous, where people sell Fiestaware all the time. I recently fell in love with scarlet and bought some dishes in that color. Then I bought a few accessories In lemongrass and love how that color looks, also. No purples for me. I have everything I need and have decided not to buy anything else. I hope I can stick to that!!!🤗

Apple Crisp:  Some of those "older" colors like scarlet are still the go to colors, aren't they?  Scarlet is such a pure red and is very pretty.  I have some items in scarlet, among them an individual teapot that I use a lot during the winter months.  It won't be long and I'll be using it more often.  Brrrrrrrrrr.........

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Hi, everyone, it is so great to see you here!

@wismiss, it seems like such a long time since we have posted together!  I do remember the fun times we all had, talking about checking the factory for lost pieces!  We had a blast!  We even had badges, lol!  I think you made them up for us.

Well, I think my last purchase was 4 espresso cup/saucer sets.  I was thrilled because they have been discontinued for a while now, and I always wanted some.  I felt very fortunate to get two slate sets, and two white sets.  They are small and adorable!

Then I even bought a hand espresso machine.  Fun, but it takes a little work to pump the handle to press the coffee.  Hmmm, I think I have a picture, I will see if I can find it and post it.

I have a small size scarlet teapot too!  Love it!  I have several small teapots, but I think the scarlet is my favorite, but don't tell the others!  Smiley Very Happy

Sorry to hear about your back, Wismiss.  Hope the walk in shower makes things better for you.

@RainGirl, glad to hear you like the new mulberry.  I do not have a piece in that color yet.

I have given some pieces to daughter, and she loves them.  I parted with a small teapot, a creamer, sugar, and small (juice size) disc pitcher.

I have a friend that collects fiesta, and a few years ago she decided to rent a space in an antique mall.  She has a very small area, but that store seems to get good traffic, and she sells her extra fiesta pieces, and other items that she is parting with.  Even with her rent for the space, she usually does OK, and it is a fun way for her to downsize and find a home for so many things that she no longer wants.  She also sells some hand-made items.  Her items are high quality.

Hi, @wagirl, that tortilla warmer looks so nice.  I agree with you, it would be such a nice casserole dish.

Hi, @Apple Crisp, nice to see you here too!  That FB group seems like a good way to sell fiesta ware.

I love scarlet, and I love lemongrass!  I agree with you, those two colors are beautiful together.  I think scarlet is one of the best selling colors, along with turquoise.  I love turquoise too.

Wanted to share with you all, my espresso cup & saucer!

I posted my slate espresso cup, so I thought I will also post my white set.  I love turquoise & white, reminds me of the beach.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Hi everyone,

It's good to see some chatting going on here.

I got an email yesterday saying sage will be retired in 2019.

I enjoy the pictures of your pieces posted. So fun to see what others are doing.

I have a couple sage pieces--not really a fan of that color myself---I have many colors. My newest is the black skulls and vines; have the sugar skull in a few pieces.
