Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

@Meezerpleezer Belk's is still having free shipping today. I don't know how long that will last.

Glad your purchases arrived safe and sound!

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Hi, everyone!

I hope everyone had a very nice Thanksgiving.

@Apple Crisp, Did you get your sunflower large canister bottom?  Hope that arrived in great condition for you.

@kutira, it is so exciting that you are in your new place.

It has been so busy here.

No news from me really, but I wanted to say Hi to you all.

I have some house cleaning projects to take care of as we are having friends spending two nights with us this weekend.  So I am tackling the kitchen today.  I have been rather stressed about this visit for sometime, just because I am not used to having overnight guests for 3 days.  Except family, I don't stress about daughter & SIL staying with us.

You all take care!

@Apple Crisp  Thanks so much for letting me know about the free shipping at Belks.  I was able to get my dip and spreader set this evening.  I just hope it will be OK.  At least if there is a problem, it shouldn't be hard to return it and get a replacement.  Did you get anything on Cyber Monday?

@oceantown  I think that you must be the hostess with the mostess!  You have the prettiest tablescrapes and your food looks delish, especially breakfast.  Relax!  The visit will go beautifully.  Don't forget to take pictures so that you can enter into Pryde's contest.  I know that you can be a triple crown winner!

@oceantown Hi! Yes, I did finally get my new large canister, after they sent me a medium by mistake. But all is well that ends well and I am a happy camper.

I know how it is to stress out over family visits. But after it is over, you will be happy to have had them.

@Meezerpleezer So happy you were able to take advantage of the free shipping. I hope everything arrives in good condition.

My Cyber Monday purchase at Belk's was two Christmas Trio salad/dessert plates.

Today I received my salad/dessert plates that I purchased from Macy's on Black Friday. I got them in assorted colors. I am happy to say they, all four of them, arrived in perfect condition.

@Meezerpleezer, oh, you are so sweet!  Thanks!

@Apple Crisp, thank you so much for your encouragement!

Speaking of tablescapes, I have always wanted to put together a fancy-schmancy table, with lace tablecloth and white & ivory fiesta.  Maybe around Christmas I would have the time to do this.  Or, it may be a good idea for New Year's Eve.

Take care all!

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

@Apple Crisp Glad that your dessert plates arrived with no problems.  I will say that my package from Macys did have a LOT of bubble wrap so there were no incidents.  Sometimes, the packaging is so inadequate.  I hope that both of our Belk packages make it to our homes in tip top shape.

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

Hi Fiestanistas! Just popped in to say hello. I haven't posted in awhile but have been trying to keep up with the thread.

Its been a crazy couple of months with my house up for sale and moving in with family temporarily. My house sold within a week and closes this month. Its keeping me from buying any fiesta to add to my collection!

I won't be back into my own own for awhile. I haven't quite figured out what I want. I'm a terrible big decision maker!

Congrats @kutira on your move! I really hate moving and am not looking forward to unpacking all that I have in storage and dragged with me.

@Meezerpleezer --- thank you for watching over this thread and keeping it alive.

For all of you that have been buying and receiving shipments...I'm sorry to hear there have been issues. I've had one issue with HL and several with Kohls. All were resolved but it was annoying! I'm still sad that Dishes Fast is closing down...I bought a lot of pieces from them in my fave retired colors and they were always packed really well.

Speaking of colors...I'm hoping the new color is again one I don't like so I'm not tempted to buy. Selfish, aren't I??!!

We keep hearing that snow is on the way but it won't be a Snomaggedon. I don't think it will be either but it sure is cold enough for one!

Re: Still Buying Fiestaware (aka Fiestaware thread, Part 2)

@RainGirl  I am so glad that you stopped by!  I haven't moved lately but there was a time that I was moving every year or couple of years.  It is horrible so  I can really appreciate what you are going through. At least you house is sold.  That is an issue here as it can take time to get a buyer.

We won't have long to wait to find out the new color.  I have a feeling that HL is on a darker trend however, they do need some pops of color and a Butterscotch color would go very well with the direction that they are headed.

I agree with you.  It is a shame that dishesfast is going out of business.  Everything that I have received from Liz has been in excellent shape and packed to survive a truck running over it.  I see that she has Persimmon place settings on sale for nineteen ninety  nine.  Always loved that color.  Gee whz.....
